Oakland June 18-22 & June 25-29 - Aurora School
Packed into a full day of Aurora Summer Fun! Play Circus focuses on learning and progressing all levels of circus arts through PLAY. Defy gravity with juggling scarves, bean bags, spinning plates, diabolos and more. Turn, twist, roll and stretch through the fundamentals of circus acrobatics. Test balance with stilts, walking globe, and rola-bola. Bang your funny-bone using slapstick and clown games and learn one magic word! Class starts with a playful warm-up and stretching and then moves on to developing new and existing circus skills. Each day focuses on a new skill while building on what we've played so far. Activities will challenge and inspire all levels of experience. There is no performance at the end of this camp.

Oakland July 23-27 - Aurora School
Unravel the mysteries of the circus from sideshow to center ring! This week we'll combine the magic of sideshow and circus arts from juggling to fire-breathing*, zany zoology and pickled punks (create and take home your own crazy creatures), mind-reading tricks, face-painting and more! Campers will learn a variety of equipment based circus-skills (juggling, stilts, et al), face-painting, mind-reading (tricks!), circus and sideshow fun facts, and will create three (or more) take-home art projects including a special clairvoyance crown, a zany zoo animal and a pickled punk. There is no performance at the end of this camp. Please bring one stuffed animal that can be taken apart. Materials fee: $5.
*No actual fire-breathing techniques will be taught or demonstrated, we will use breath and fabric.

| Recycled Circus Ages 8-13 |

This unique camp will divide the days into multiple exciting movement and visual art segments. Learn to juggle, and then make your own juggling equipment. Create a clown character, and a mask to go with it! Circus skills segments will focus on learning and progressing in all circus skills: juggling (scarves, balls, plates, diabolo), tumbling/acrobatics, walking globe, rola bola, stilts, and clowning. Visual arts projects will focus on reusing and recycling every day household and natural objects to create beautiful and usable new items: juggling equipment, masks, side-show creatures, and musical instruments. The week culminates with a camper created Recycled Circus Spectacular! Materials fee: $5. |

New and developing circus stars will shine as they learn the basics of balance, tumbling, juggling and clowning in this half-day camp. Our day begins with a playful warm-up and stretching game and then campers move on to explore their bodies and their world using circus games and apparatus. Campers learn and progress at their own level through a variety of skills in a safe and supportive group environment. There is no performance at the end of this camp.
